About the story

Hell-Blade Raye is a Yu-Gi-Oh!! novel (I guess you can call it fanfiction, too!) which takes place in a parallel universe to the original series. In fact, most of the Yu-Gi-Oh!! cast won't appear at all. It is a story which follows Megumi Yabushita, a 19-year old college student from Domino City, who is currently "surviving" - but not "living". Until one day, she gets a package from KaibaCorp, telling her she has been selected to the Duel Maximum Royale. Her partner is the monster Sky Striker Ace - Raye, who actually appears in front of Megumi in real life, calling her "Master." Unfortunately for Megumi, her life becomes much more dangerous and much more thrilling, as other monsters appear in the real world and want her dead in order to become the next God of Monsters.
Hell-Blade Raye is inspired by works such as Fate/, Gash Bell, Grappler Baki, and many other things like that. It does not strictly follow Yu-Gi-Oh!! lore at all, and I think you'll come to find it more enjoyable if you see at its own thing. New chapters every Tuesday and Friday.
